Originally launched in 2014 and discontinued in 2022 due to a rise in dash errors caused by inconsistencies in BMW ECU systems, the much-loved tail tidy is making a comeback. Revived by Steve Abel — founder of A BIKE THING — the 2nd Generation version stays true to the original in design but has been completely re-engineered under the surface.

This time, it’s powered by the cutting-edge Kellermann I.NEX system. What does that mean for you? Simply put: no more dash errors. It also opens the door to far more creative lighting setups while remaining fully road legal.

In a recent video, we featured Steve’s 2022 Option 719 RnineT Roadster outfitted with our signature Fancy Bike Thing Tail Light, paired with Kellermann Atto indicators — making the rear brighter, cleaner, and compliant. Up front, the stock turn signals were replaced with the stunning Kellermann Jetstreams. Normally, these changes would trigger ECU warnings — but not with the I.NEX on board.
