Description
Exposure EX4 Driving Light – Serious Performance, Now UN ECE R149 Approved
The Exposure EX4 is a compact, seriously powerful driving light designed and manufactured in the UK by Exposure Lights.
Producing an impressive 4,300 lumens from a single 445g light pod, the EX4 combines huge lighting performance with a compact footprint, making it ideal for motorcycles where you want substantially more usable light without fitting oversized auxiliary lights.
And now there is another major reason to choose it.
✓ OFFICIALLY UN ECE R149 APPROVED
The Exposure EX4 has been independently tested by TÜV Rheinland Kraftfahrt GmbH in Germany and formally granted approval under UN ECE Regulation No. 149 by the United Kingdom Vehicle Approval Authority.

Independent TÜV Rheinland Testing
Exposure chose TÜV Rheinland as the independent technical service responsible for testing the EX4.
The official test report confirms that the EX4 complies with the applicable requirements of UN ECE Regulation No. 149 as a driving-beam headlamp.
The testing went far beyond simply checking light output.
The EX4 was assessed for photometric performance, light colour, construction, vibration resistance and performance stability. The report confirms that the light continued to operate correctly despite vibration and remained within the permitted photometric tolerances.
Following testing, there was also no distortion, deformation, cracking or change in colour of the lens.
4,300 Lumens From an Exceptionally Compact Light
At the heart of the EX4 are four CREE XHP35.2 LEDs, producing a combined output of 4,300 lumens.
The EX4 uses 8-degree collimated optics to create a focused driving beam designed to throw useful light further down the road rather than simply creating uncontrolled glare.
With a light temperature of approximately 5700K, the output is a crisp bright white, ideal for improving visibility on dark roads and unlit routes.
Built in the UK
Exposure Lights are designed and manufactured in the UK by Ultimate Sports Engineering Ltd.
Exposure’s lighting heritage comes from decades of development in demanding environments including cycling, endurance racing and rallying, and that experience has been carried directly into its AutoMoto lighting range.
The EX4 uses a robust aluminium housing, toughened glass lens and intelligent thermal management to deliver reliable performance in demanding conditions.

Why Choose the Exposure EX4?
There are plenty of powerful auxiliary lights on the market, but outright lumen figures only tell part of the story.
The EX4 combines serious light output, compact dimensions, British manufacturing, rugged construction and now independently verified UN ECE approval.
For riders looking for a premium driving light that delivers proper real-world performance without huge pods hanging from the motorcycle, the Exposure EX4 is a superb option.
