Description
BMW R1300GS Tail Tidy. 3MM Aluminium construction, designed and made in the UK, craftsman built, not suitable for bikes equipped with adaptive rear radar
This was a design Cymarc has worked on for a while and they wanted to replace the excessively long and `sticky out` OE tail tidy with a solution to pull the number plate and light cluster more into the bike without compromising rear tyre clearance.
Please note this does not fit the GS model with the adaptive rear radar. I (Steve) have removed my rear radar to make this fit.
It features;
- Modular design to facilitate interchangeability of damaged parts.
- Fully adjustable number plate hanger.
- Provision to use non UK number plates.
- Strong lightweight aluminium design.
Made from 3mm laser profiled aluminium along with a strengthening plate, this product offers an alternative to the plastic OE part and gives a more compact view of the back end of the bike.
It’s intentional design and construction means that if the tail tidy is damaged in anyway just the damaged part can be replaced as an alternative to having to purchase another complete assembly.
It uses existing mounting points, there`s no drilling or requirement to cut any wires as the indicators and number plate light fits superbly onto our tail tidy. Additional fasteners are provided – all Torx and in stainless steel of course.
Cable management options are available including rubber grommet access into the rear area of the bike, if desired. A number plate adaptor plate is provided if you wish to use your existing number plate without further drilling.
Assembly and fitting is straightforward and easily achieved by your average DIY person. It takes about half an hour to assemble and fit. No drilling or cutting of any wires is required. A fitting video via a QR code is provided
Available in black and weighs 600 grams.
