Description
BikeTrac Motorcycle Tracker — Certified Installation by A Bike Thing
We’re pleased to confirm that A Bike Thing is now an official BikeTrac installation partner, allowing us to supply and professionally install BikeTrac motorcycle trackers through ABT HQ and our growing network of approved installation partners around the UK.
BikeTrac is one of the best-known motorcycle tracking systems in the UK, combining GPS and RF tracking with 24/7 monitoring, theft response support, movement alerts, bike-over alerts, journey history, geofencing, service mode, holiday mode and European cover.
Unlike a basic location tag or consumer tracking device, BikeTrac is designed specifically for motorcycle security. Once installed and registered, the system allows you to monitor your bike through the BikeTrac app and gives you the reassurance of a dedicated monitoring and theft response service.
Why buy BikeTrac from A Bike Thing?
- Supplied by A Bike Thing
- Installed by certified BikeTrac installers
- Fitting available at ABT HQ or through selected UK installation partners
- Professional, discreet installation
- No images of the tracker location or device shown for security reasons
- Ideal for premium motorcycles, touring bikes, adventure bikes and daily-use machines
Discreet by design
For obvious security reasons, we do not show photographs of the BikeTrac tracker unit itself or where it is installed on the motorcycle. The images on this page show the official BikeTrac packaging and supplied materials only.
The tracker is installed discreetly on the bike by a certified installer. Exact placement varies depending on the motorcycle, available space, wiring access and the best secure location for that specific bike.
BikeTrac subscription
BikeTrac requires an active subscription after installation. Subscription options are handled directly through BikeTrac during registration and include monthly and multi-year options.
Current BikeTrac subscription options include monthly, 1-year, 2-year and 3-year plans. Please refer to BikeTrac directly for the latest subscription pricing and finance options, as these are controlled by BikeTrac and may change.
BikeTrac vs BikeTrac Lite — Which one is right for you?
Both systems offer reliable motorcycle tracking, but there are key differences in how they operate and the level of protection they provide.
Our recommendation
If you’re serious about protecting your bike, we strongly recommend the full BikeTrac system.
The addition of RF tracking and a 24/7 monitoring centre gives you a much higher chance of recovery in the event of theft — particularly if the bike is moved into a location where GPS alone may struggle.
BikeTrac Lite is a solid entry-level option, but most of our customers opt for the full BikeTrac for the added security and peace of mind.
Installation options
BikeTrac can be supplied on its own for self-installation, or professionally installed by A Bike Thing or one of our approved UK installation partners.
If you’re confident working on your bike, you can choose the supply-only option and install the unit yourself in a suitably discreet location. BikeTrac also offer excellent telephone support to assist with setup and activation if required. That said, we strongly recommend professional installation to ensure the system is fitted securely, correctly and in the most effective hidden position.

Installation is quoted based on the bike and scope of work, so please contact us with your bike details to request a fitting quote or discuss options.
Many customers choose to add BikeTrac as part of a larger install — for example alongside auxiliary lighting, horns or other upgrades. In these cases, the standalone BikeTrac installation cost (typically around £200) can often be reduced significantly or even absorbed into the overall package. It’s always worth asking.
Please note: If you select shipping at checkout, your BikeTrac will be dispatched to you for self-installation. If you select installation, we will not automatically schedule your booking — you will still need to contact us to arrange a quote and secure a fitting slot.
Important security note
BikeTrac is a security product. We will not publish images of the tracker unit, the installation location, wiring route or any information that could compromise the security of your motorcycle.
